Hey, so I got internally hired from cashier to GSA about 3 weeks ago. I train next week and the week after, but the LODs have been having me and the other internal hire (We lost 2 of our 5 GSA the same week and had to quickly replace) cover GSA breaks or split the role between the two of us, GS, and the LOD in the event of call offs. The other new GSA, coming from softlines and hired about a week before me, has GSA numbers already. When should I expect supervisor access? It's annoying to have the only SF TM covering the only cashier's lunch and have to call the LOD over for every single override, and the LODs hate doing it. They just keep saying they hope I get it before next week or training's going to be difficult. Not even my STL knows when I'll get access.

You actually can't give supervisor access to anyone just on the register. I tried to give supervisor access to a guest service team member who had 10+ years experience and this was not an option on the register. It must be partially tied to job code.

When I got cashier access there was a k# button for supervisor access. Yes you can do it on a register.

All:

You used to be able to give anyone supervisor numbers. After the specialists were eliminated and job codes consolidated, only certain keyed people could be given supervisor access.

You might want to Ck your paycheck for your Paygrade & gsa pay.
I'm still at my old pay rate. I made GSA nearly a month ago. How long does it take to be recognized as such in the system? And it's weird because my ETL HR said my raise would come into effect the sunday after I was hired.

Was going to say this. The transfer with HR has to go through in the system. My GSA went a week using the other GSTLs numbers because we couldn't key her as a supervisor.

Ha well we might be up shit's creek because we don't have a GSTL. The front end is entirely run by GSAs and anything that must be done by someone higher than a GSA they have to call the LOD for. #ULV

Ya you need to talk to HR asap. We have had people keyed in 24 hours, HROC responds quickly to Universal change forms
So what should I tell me ETL-HR and GE to do because they and the STL have no idea why I don't have access a month after being keyed in as GSA. Tell them to call HROC?

So I called and they said I'm still a cashier. Go figure. They said talk to my HR and make sure they actually changed my job code.

Sounds like someone in HR didn't take the five minutes to key you as a GSA. I am willing to bet you haven't been given your raise yet. Ask your HR to make historical edits so you can be retroactively paid for all the extra work you did.

^^^ THIS! Sometimes you just have to check things out yourself. Get out your calendar and make sure you get paid correctly from day one.

Happened to me too. Wasn't keyed in or had supervisor numbers for around two weeks. Was retroactively payed for it all and given an extra bump in pay.

Go and see your HR to see what you are show up on my time or have them check job data in HR Zone. May be HR keyed you in but HROC didn't process etc. I always check to make sure people show up in their new work center/position after the change is supposed to be active because HROC doesn't always process.

I think talking to my ETL-HR worked. My gsa shifts are in black now and my cashier shifts next week got re-written to GSA. Some of them are only 4 hours though, or 8 hours but not normal gsa shift times. Does that mean I'll still be working as a cashier? Because we never schedule more than one gsa in a given shift (we don't have a gstl)
