    Archived TV Wall

It's a built-in feature of a great number of TVs to not turn on when there is a sudden restoration of power.

Archived Am I going to get fired?

It happens. I cannot begin to count the number of times I left the electronics keys and magnet in the door of the electronics stockroom or in a waco somewhere...

This. I do this all the time when scanning outs and lows to just let the replenishment system do its job once the counts are correct.

It's a bit different than a USB A->B printer cable. It's a USB A->RJ11 or RS232->RJ11 with the RJ11 at a 45 degree angle to the jacket. You would almost certainly have to order it from Datamax-O'Neil if Target did not have spares.

That is a very easy fix with the printer application on the signing PC.

    Archived Flow Electronics Vent- Advice

When you are printing the security list, grab the flow team summary and the detailed list (just the electronics portion; highlight the general area its in in the list, click Print and choose Selection Only) from RWT too. That way you can see how many eaches you're expecting in total from each...

    Archived Holiday Return Policy?

Phone cases are a part of electronics. Anything in department 80 (no contract phones and all phone accessories, cases included) has a 30 day return policy and is not extended by the RedCard. Something else is going on with that if it was a standard Galaxy or iPhone case. If I had to take a...

It is easier to use the Target app or website and grab a DPCI to input into MyWork than it is to search within MyWork.

    Archived NES Classic edition

If the time is 12 AM, they were checked in through receiving on the date shown. If it was just a date without a time it is an expected recovery date where they should arrive in receiving or on a truck by that date. The latter is normally the result of either a sudden drop in on-hands through...

Redwire does have a similar function. Most people do not know it exists. I used it for leaving messages to others without having access to email and let the people know I left a message on Redwire regarding project xyz.

    Archived NES Classic edition

My store received three NES Classic consoles and one controller. I arrived to start the line around 6:45 with no one else in line until 7 AM. By the time the store opened at 8 there were 20 people in line. People starting running the moment the doors were opened. The Sr Flow TL saw who was in...

Look on Workbench. The electronics pages are littered with explanations about the different processes in the electronics workcenter and product guides for all kinds of things sold in electronics.

They could go underneath whatever table the large tree is sitting on, but on-floor capacity would be light. They've sent worse.

Archived The Big & Dandy Backroom thread!

Electronics team members should be the individuals responsible for pushing electronics pulls regardless of what time of the year it is. They are trained specifically to handle merchandise protection and should know the department better than anyone. If anything, they should want to handle those...

    Archived MIR & Return Scan

It does not! When you scan DPCIs that show 0 on-hands, the app will give a notice saying something to the tune of "Not found in today's scan" and will not add the DPCI to the carton. Do not throw them in a box and send them anyway. I did once upon a time and learned you do not get credit for...

    Archived MIR & Return Scan

Yes. They can be scanned from the floor. Do it first after you scan or input a category, but before you scan a waco location in the back or you will tank your location accuracy.

    Archived MIR & Return Scan

This right here. And with music now being on planogrammed shelf space, you do not have to scan the floor anymore. It should all be located in the back ready to go out with the next return scan. We took our D058 NOP endcap and turned it into a discontinued/clearance license product endcap.

    Archived Battery Shippers

I always pushed them to the front end, every outpost and every spot with batteries throughout the store every truck and backstocked what was left. You know, like just about everything else in hardlines. Worked like a charm! My former STL came in one day and even commented how crazy full the...
