I did this intentionally. My pathing is functioning as expected, but there seems to be logic code that creates a location preference based on some unkown attribute.

So it did exactly the opposite of this. A quantity of 2 was needed, 01A had 2 and 01B had 10. Logic basically said don't pull the 2 in 01A to eliminate a whole location. 😆 Logic must be flawed.

Never said it was procedure from corporate. Not sure this has anything to do with ethics. It's literally correcting an error on the spot. Its operational, not a matter of honesty/dishonesty

Yes, but checkout advocates do need to ensure all items are scanned, priced and paid for properly. If an item doesn't look like it scanned or reflects wrong price, they should offer to assist the guest. AP confronts and apprehends.

Best advice is to apologize for the misunderstanding and tell the guest you can call a leader over to handle any concerns they have. Try not to overthink the situation too much, bc it's not you, it's them.

Ghosts/baffles are always gonna happen. Auditing does not hide an error, it corrects it, then it no longer exists. Using AIS is not following the procedure set by management so it would seem that these folks are the ones needing re-training.

The procedure is to have the TM audit the location and correct the error on the spot and then it no longer exists. Not fudging anything.

I have a TM that swears up and down they did not AIS yet shows several ghost errors. There may be something going on with the "skip location" option but I have not yet tested this theory.

Assets Protection is focused on preventing loss rather than making sales. There is likely a high level reasoning behind it.
