I'll be happy for my deli when they get them and the new temp probe. There is really no way for accountability on team members when they do temp checks. I'll be gone, but I'll feel better knowing that they can't bullsh#t their temps.

I really wanted to call out today. I wussed out though. I may miss Thursday, just because, I could use an extra day off to take care of yardwork. Florida rainy season and a broken riding mower. :( I do have a push mower.

I was told I had to work one shift afterwards in order to collect the vacation time.

Found this out the hard way, and my ETL-HR is a ditz so I won't get any unless I get sick for a couple days.

You probably won't get disability pay though. I imagine that that needs a bit more of a legitimate reason. LOA shouldn't be an issue though, and you don't have to go into specifics. Though I'm sure after you come back they'll figure out the reason why. Lol Hope it all goes well.

If Your running just a bakery, and you have a solid team. You'll have it fairly easy once you learn the job duties. Of its both deli and bakery, well we should all send our prayers.

Try running a deli On 20 hours a week. 2 people a day sometimes and they expect it fresh an d full. Lol

South Florida here. Deli, is horrible. No drinks, no fans, no time to take breaks. Then you listen to guests whine how cold it is. Please stfu I'm sweating like mad, don't tell me how cold you are.

Hey gang! Just curious to see if folks in areas like winston-salem, greensboro, or Forest, VA are getting decent hours. Considering moving up that way. I work Deli obviously but we get 20-22 Hours a week on average. I was wondering if things were any better further north. Thanks
