Werd to what @stateoftarget11 said. There's really little incentive to give a flying rats ass when, if the shoe was on the other foot, Target will get rid of you at the drop of a hat. I really like the "It's nice outside" reason as it shows just how little it takes to make one realize how crappy...
One of the last ones I remember before I left was a damn car seat. The guest picked out one with a pretty damaged box which for car seats usually means they're just fine anyway. They took it all the way up front and then decided they wanted one with a nice box.
I only rushed doing these because...
It's nice to have income during college but if you don't need to work then more power to you. I worked 20 hours a week during college with 15 units per semester no sweat. Probably a bit more difficult with the wacky Target scheduling but you can adjust your availability as mentioned.
Sounds like you got way too emotionally invested in the whole thing. I would get annoyed and frustrated but I'd never argue or get upset, that's silly. You should know by know it's all beyond your control.
We had/have a couple more competent BR Day people that can do ALL the tasks but one...
It's the whole "too many chiefs" problem which exists at many a job. All the bosses wanna boss and when they want something different it can get frustrating. I guess bowing to the highest ranking person is safe advice but I never really got any instruction from our STL.
I would follow the...
It's easy to get stuck in a routine and stay at a job just because, but five years is a little much. I know the job search thing sucks but not as much as working at Target. I got out after eight months and I'm one of those very self-motivated, self-critical people. I felt a stupid loyalty to...
You're wasting your breath. Less than a year with Target and it's obvious it's just how they operate. I've been the ONLY person scheduled in the backroom on a Saturday or Sunday. It won't get any better.
Good old AST messing with noobs like no other. I usually "burn" them or fake it because I know if it's really needed someone will be asking for it. I'd rather not have a pile of backstock when they just need a few.
Happened today though. Annoying.
As for leaving multiple DPCIs on a pallet and...
Our backroom training is pretty terrible. I was lucky to train with the best guy back there at the time and I have more than half a brain so I've been good from the get go. He couldn't certify on equipment though so I had to wait for the OG (old) lady of the BR to do that.
She's still the only...
For a brief time we were teased with the idea of "dual closers" but naturally that never happened because they can't hire anyone worth a damn and now we don't have a single "dedicated closer." Weekends are the only days we would really need help with the 5PM CAFs. It would just be nice so we...
That's for sure. Pretty much anything I pull out of the HOME isle is pretty junky. It give the illusion of being higher end and that's why people buy it. Even at 50-70% off they're sill making a profit because this "not junk" is so cheaply made.
