    Archived Hello!

Opening procedures: 1. Turn on any and every display that doesn't automatically come on with the store. Audit to make sure they are working, any that aren't, let your SFT know. Dust the displays so they are presentable to guests. 2. Walk the zone. Make sure the closer didn't forget any areas...

Archived Has your store ever closed for the day?

We had a hurricane off shore, the cinder block walls were weeping with water, ceiling tiles falling in because the roof was leaking, half of the store roped off because of water falling from the roof, a tornado warning 2 miles west of us, but no closure.

I wonder too how many bench TLs we are going to have in our district that are going to be S.O.L.

It's going to be very interesting. In our store, the TL haven't been doing their SPLNS for awhile. Mainly the team members have been. 2 of our TLs are SrTLs and spend more time covering LOD than anything else. The other is the CTL. Our POGTL has problems getting the current workload done. Unless...

I just hope the exec that gets shuffled from my store is our ETL-HL. There's no way he could do the entire salesfloor. As for the TLs, it sucks because we are going to lose some quality people, and keep some really lack luster people.

We never used to spread hours around evenly to low performers. We used to have 3 main people work electronics through the week, with a couple of people thrown in to cover 1 or 2 closing shifts during the week. We were way more efficient when it came to scheduling. Now we are taking the entire...

None of the TLs in our store have had any of their hours cut. 3 of our TLs are SRTLs, and get stuck with more LOD shifts than the ETLs.

I think you guys are missing what I am saying when I say I have tried talking to both the TL and ETL. These guys just flat out don't get it. Take next week for example. Return scan for odd number stores. I reminded both of them repeatedly that the scan was coming. The schedule was posted and...

    Archived Set up for failure?

The LOD has the final say on if the zone is complete, not a TL. That's how it has always been in our store. If the LOD says the zone is good, and the E1 or STL has an issue with it, they should be going to the LOD who closed. If you are directed to fix those aisles, and the LOD is not walking...

Too much probably. We waste so much money on advertising it's ridiculous. You think if we cut the amount of commercials in half, that business would suffer? I mean really come on.

I have already spoke with them numerous times. More specifically with the ETL over the last year. Our HL-ETL was a straight our of college hire who destroyed everything the previous ETL had done. He knows he is in over his head, and is looking for an exit strategy. But back to the point, he has...

It's even worse when they ask why things aren't done and you haven't been there in 4 days.

I have worked for this company for going on 9 years. For the majority of those years, I have commanded respect from every ETL crew we have had by showcasing my knowledge, and determination to do things well. There isn't a job in the building that I can't do. Now saying all that, you would think...
