"non-pog ism" so basically just overheads/front end signing since everything else has a spot on the floor. The only time I ever see signing worked is when somebody is throwing it away straight from the backroom to make room for the newest stuff.

The only other retail/warehouse-ish place I've worked is Amazon so I can't say anything specific, but just walking around Walmarts, my local grocery stores etc, one thing that I'm surprised at is that their shelf labels don't have nearly the detail that ours do. I wonder how they know exactly...

They look like books, basically three heavy-ish pieces of cardboard stuck together with a tape, and then hung up with two cables. It's like having 6 guillotines in the store again.

Put up most of the overheads today, and those BTC ones around the store are seriously going to kill somebody. Heaviest ones I can remember in a while and only being supported by two cables... had to double up one of them that was hanging right above a futon display or I couldn't sleep at night.

went through pallets that came in today and there is blue/white color backer for BTS, the endcaps and a few half gondolas got it at my store.

Doing a couple all-nighters to set up back to school early and haven't even received the backerpaper yet. I guess they are going to have to give out even more hours to build the shippers when they come in because the 'seasonal' team most likely isnt.

My store has started to use steel as well for signing despite having a pretty large fixture room. They've started throwing away tons of signholders/bulk fixtures/pushers that I'm sure we will need in the future, but nobody sets anything to pog anymore and they didn't ask me what they were for...

Still sitting here with the easter fos, and the dtl has visited a few times recently so I guess there's no problem.
