    Archived Corporate Sales Training

It could be that corporate as a whole is billing the hours for training, not your store, so your store can charge your hours to them. I've had my overtime billed to another store when I went there for support help; not the same situation but it could possibly be close.

    Archived Promotion tag mistake?

To be fair, the packaging is confusing! I just really really hate putting pic labels on actual boxes.

    Archived Big news coming Monday?

It sucks for them because the workload and expectations is ridiculous and it's not going to get any better...the department will continue to fall into chaos and everyone will sit by and be absolute helpless to stop it. What a miserable experience.

    Archived Big news coming Monday?

Somewhat unrelated but I just left my job as Market TM, and I asked the former PA about if they were hiring to replace me since our Market team was bare bones as is...she said no. 8 total Market people now and some have very limited availability. The heck...

    Archived More Walmart job eliminations!

It's not even a lie...I went to Walmart on the Saturday night before Super Bowl; it was about 8pm? Lots of people in Market; lines down the main aisle. ONE CASHIER. They had like 20 SCO's, though. They'd converted a lot of regular aisle registers into SCO and people were checking themselves out.

Is this Real Life? (A Market vent thread)

I love how they don't care a whit about leaving the compactor and bailer unlocked, but lock up the storage room and electronics stock room. We don't care if you get hurt, but we do care if you steal!

Is this Real Life? (A Market vent thread)

Your own key? Ha. Ours is almost ALWAYS unlocked (Isn't that some sort of OSHA violation or something?). The bailer always has keys in it too.

Archived Hours cut! Everybody is really pissed off at my store!

Didn't hear. Just showed up one day and there was a padlock on the door and only TLs had keys.

Archived Hours cut! Everybody is really pissed off at my store!

One result of bounce back is that our storage room is now locked at all times...lol what a joke. One day in and a cart full of shelves were already left in the hallway outside, and people can’t get to the signing printer inside (which means nobody is going to stand around and wait for someone to...

    Archived Kronos

Either nobody in my key code uses Kronos, or nobody in the store uses it, because I have not seen a single swap shift posted. Our store seems to still rely on the good ol' paper one. A shame, because a fully-utilized Kronos app would be extremely useful and convenient, but it seems like it has...

Archived Stacking red card + TM discount

It makes sense, because Cartwheel is not a general discount but changes the actual price of items, so you're not going to get 10% off of the original price; just what are paying for. And then Redcard comes dead last and it's just off of what you're paying after everything else.

Archived Hours cut! Everybody is really pissed off at my store!

Oh, I know. It's just painful when there's so much work to do and we're put under so much pressure to deliver the same amount of work with half the hours. Yeah, no. People probably think I'm a slacker but I just refuse to run around like my pants are on fire because there's no hours. I don't get...

Archived Hours cut! Everybody is really pissed off at my store!

I work in Market, and I'm averaging 15-20h with completely open availability. MARKET. (and no, we don't have that many Market TMs). Screw Target, lol...

    Archived Clopening..

Back before Market was E2E and I was a PA, I liked clopening market because I could set myself up for a really great open the next day. You got to reap all the rewards of your labor and it was so satisfying, and with the time you saved, you could put towards all those little pFresh projects that...

Is this Real Life? (A Market vent thread)

We do all our own QMOS and defectives; it just makes sense because if we're the ones pushing the product (anything in pFresh or dry) then it's easier for us to take care of it ourselves than cart it all the way up to the service desk, who then has to process it and send it BACK to receiving for...

    Archived New Carts

Those look like the old-old ones. We just got new plastic/metal ones and the metal is gray, not chrome...they're SUPER quiet and smooth. They feel a lot nicer than the all-plastic carts (our store skipped those entirely).

    Archived Target Wallet and Giftcards

You can deactivate the Redcard part of the Wallet so that it scans Cartwheel but not the Redcard...I use this all the time when I'm at Starbucks and I want to use my discount/cartwheel but pay with my Starbucks gift card. You just click on the Redcard icon and choose "cash or physical card"...

Archived Store closings - sad? mad? overeating???

Romeoville. If you've ever been down that section of road you can see what the potential was but it just never took off. Lots of empty spaces and the businesses are spaced far apart without a ton of foot traffic.

Archived Store closings - sad? mad? overeating???

Nope, that area of town is a ghost town; there's just not the foot traffic to justify all those stores. I think they (retail stores) built out there hoping that the city would build up in that direction it it went elsewhere.

    Archived Getting rid of Cafes?

I mean, we have entire aisle of liquor, but there's also all the vendor promo stuff that is put in strategic spots in order to boost impulse sales. I don't know how locking everything up in a little contained section would improve that.
