Yep and this is a problem with Target. You should be able to bond with your team..... it's absolutely ridiculous. This was one of the rules I strongly disliked as a Team Leader. However, you bet a** we had team building events and had FANTASTIC morale. Loved my team, and miss them.

We've been doing this for a few months now, we just have a 3-tier behind guest services and when it fills up, we call the Hardlines team member. No more carts for us behind guest services.

It's sad that it has come to this, but it's true. If we aren't making goals, we get pressure from the ETL's and they want to see documentation to show that we're "doing" something about it. It's the truth. Then again, if you're a cashier that blatantly don't ask every guest, you're going to get...

Yup, it's called "manufactured spending". Look it up - people will load them up with their AMEX and get the Miles for their credit card while still saving the 5%. People do this with gift cards all the time to meet "spending bonuses" on Credit Cards (i.e. spend $3,000 in 3 months and get 50,000...

Uhmmmmm, this is a HUGE HUGE no no. Just hope he doesn't get caught. He's already made a mistake by letting his coworkers (you) know he is doing this. Not a cool strategy for recognition. A cool strategy to be applying for jobs in a few weeks.
