This is a wild concept to me as someone who was GM and had to constantly be following up and working on the floor. GVP's expectations were that an ETL was always early/mid LOD and that they were present to run the business.

LOD was officially retired with stores modernization a few years ago, but with the process ownership changes and reorgs around that, the store mod playbook has been killed so a lot of stores (usually directed by district or group) brought LOD back.

There is a VM/Non-retail category in cycle count now, but as far as I know it's still just for mannequin counts.

Yeah, most stores get around there. If you are seeing more as a base store, it's likely coming out of GM payroll.

Depends on your district and if you have support by your store and field leaders. Technically, no you can't, unless you're in a pilot district specifically testing this. But if you've got support I've seen them overlook this easily.

You can see all of this on Pickup/SFS dashboard though, leadership would have to ignore like 80% of the dash to take UPH at face value and nothing else for performance.

ODTM is specifically designed for you to not get scheduled. They're not supposed to without you picking up a shift or you asking to be scheduled. If they're scheduling you, you're just a regular TM with extra steps.

There's also a Closing Food & Bev ETL role. They're basically for Super Targets, or ultra high volume stores & maybe some special/unique store formats that are also HV.

So far all I've seen is that the thresholds for metrics to be green have been raised in basically all categories, and that there will be a big push for green zones and loyalty drivers 100% of the time. Just checked their SharePoint site and it looks like their docs are restricted to their team...

They've been doing this for a few years because the hours for non-A&A backroom drop into GM payroll. Probably not a direct indicator of GM gaining those areas

There will be HC changes, but I don't know what they are and if it's this year or with the larger rollout in 2027. Some docs do say to plan to "scale rollout of TL/ETL right sizing" which is just corporate talk for headcount movement. Hopefully it is upward or more towards the sales floor roles...

I follow and have access to the SP site of the team that makes these changes, and speak with some Store Ops partners about projects occasionally.

There will be some changes the way payroll is given to stores finally, with the governing factor being workload, with sales as a secondary factor flexing the hours up or down, as opposed to how it is now where prior year's sales is the major factor. There will also be some more op model changes...
