SD said we are going to have an LODs again. It will be ETLs and a few chosen TLs. Anyone else? Sounds like we’ll have Sr TLs again. Is it bad that I hope that I’m not one? lol

Any idea when they are coming back or if this is going to be enforced? Our ETLs and TLs are supposed to close once a week and none of them do that now. We still just have the closing tl close alone

We tried this a few months back, but it just made everyone frustrated. BUT my store definitely did it very poorly. Our ETLs and SD were never the “LOD” according to this schedule for the sake of “TL development.”

But it honestly just felt like a way for the ETLs to get out of answering calls and stepping on the sales floor. TLs would “forget” when it was their “LOD” shift. It was just messy and I ended up with more “LOD” shifts than other TLs and it made me grumpy because a lot of my peers would literally forget how to communicate on walkie and no support.

I do miss the good old days of Target, but it’s hard to imagine ever getting back there.

First ASANTS. But someone said the ETL's could almost work from home. They could, check the truck, check the metrics, check sales, check the status of fullfillment, plano, pc. drive-up etc, write the schedule, write the daily assignments, forward workbench things to check-up on, email TL's their daily assignments (with a status email at the end of the shift by the TL's), Zoom a meeting with the TL's and SD all from home. Karens would be dealt with by the LOD TL's. The SD could follow up on the TL's assignments. They could pop in for an occassional interview or to check on the salesfloor before a visit and to chat with the visitors.😆 This was said by the person in jest because some do come out of the offices and get hands on.

I think there always have been LODs. They may have been called something else, technically, but there's always someone there to run the store.

They never “Left” to my knowledge. Other than Switching a couple of Names and Titles, I thought that was Always In Effect?? Did I miss something?
LOD was officially retired with stores modernization a few years ago, but with the process ownership changes and reorgs around that, the store mod playbook has been killed so a lot of stores (usually directed by district or group) brought LOD back.
