TTOG - Stop repeating that our no receipt policy is tacky when you don't get back the full price. We can't override every gift return we get because you guys don't have a receipt. Sorry Linda, but we're not going to stop our "terrible customer service" :'-)

It's just a rope that stretches over the length of the carts and hooks onto the front one to keep them from detaching when you're operating the cart machine.

Did you have a cart pusher?

I had control over the front cart, but the back cart detached and you have to go downhill first in our parking lot. No other way around it. Rope was the only option, but I've never had a cart detach like that. Unfortunately these ones can't stick together whatsoever.

It was a tad windy. It had just stopped raining so everything was pretty slick.

Was collecting carts and moving down a slope. Hadn't secured it yet because I still had more to grab. Carts came undone from the machine and the one at the very back somehow detached and rolled down to hit a car. No damage, but still felt bad. Had a similar incident about a year ago. @Kartman

It wouldn't allow me to. It was the first thing I tried to do and when I couldn't I just kinda said "oh well".

Lol, well alright then. Here's the kicker though, the second time I was aware of the rules, but didn't know how to bypass it in the system at the time. Had a sizeable line building up and kind of just let it go because we needed to get to the guests who had been waiting so we could start...

So it's not a big deal even if the gift card is >50 dollars?

Apparently you're not supposed to price match and then hand out that gift card as it falls under a "store coupon". At least that's what I've been told.

Long story short, we have a "buy two video games, get a 50 dollar target giftcard if the total is greater than 50" deal going on. Had two guests ask to price match to Best Buy for four video games to which I willingly obliged (from 60 to 40) and proceeded to give each the 50 dollar giftcard when...
