    Archived Using Vacation

Whenever I've wanted a day or a week off I've always put the request in as "unpaid time off." I have about 43 hours of "vacation time" right now. How would I go about using them and getting paid for time I request off? What are the rules for how many hours I can put in for if I average around...

    Archived Counterfeit Detectors

No pens at my store either. Even if a cashier suspects a bill as fake, we are instructed to take it as normal and alert GSTL/AP after the transaction is completed. Even if one was to come in the cash office, best practice says deposit it like you would any other bill.

Archived What does a gsa really do?

I normally do cash office then am either scheduled for GSTL or Service Desk to finish out my day. Sometimes I'll also get full GSTL or Service Desk shifts depending on the schedule that week.

    We have: STL ETL-HR ETL-PHARMACY ETL-AP ETL-SL ETL-GE ETL-HL x 2 SrTL-HL x 2 GSTL x 3 (w/ 5 GSA's) TL-HR TL-SL x 2 TL-HL x 2 TL-P-FRESH TL-INSTOCKS TL-PRICE ACCURACY TL-BACKROOM TL-RECIEVING TL-FOOD AVE TL-SBUX SFT And that's not counting the 5 or so ETL/TLs from O/N. Too many bosses...

    Archived "Holiday" price match

I thought it meant if the guest originally purchases something from target.com we cannot adjust to a lower price that is in-store or online. The only major changes they seem to have made from the "Holiday Price Match Policy" is that we can now price match out-of-stock items (target.com ONLY)...

Archived Where is the ambient room?

I needed a white label printer for guest service today, and they told me to look for extras in the ambient room. Where the hell is it? I've worked at target for a while and this is the first I'm hearing of it.

    I'm Lost! The REDCard Thread

We have a Red Card goal every day based on what the expected $ales goal is for the day. It could be anywhere from 15 Red Cards to 30+. For instance, if our sales goal for the day is $150,000, the goal would probably be 15. We usually just chop off the zeros.

Archived I've been promoted to GSA!

Congratulations. Ditto on the "little to no training before they throw you into it" part, from my own experience. Just do a good job, it sounds like it isn't hard to out-perform her. They'll see they made the right decision!

Archived Any of you guys have to carry around ipads now?

Same for us. We all try to use it as little as possible.

Archived Call of Duty: Black Ops II Midnight Launch

We had about 20. They let pretty much everyone go home by 12:30, then it was TLs/LODs just waiting around until 1am.

Archived So, my first real day at Target (after orientation)...

^This... Don't let the complainers get you down. Just do a good job and the right people will see that!

    Archived Bad Training

I'm a GSA, not a GSTl. But at my store they might as well be the same thing. Only differences are $$$ and GSA's don't do interviews/reviews/biz walks. Other duties are pretty much the same for both positions.

Yeah. My cash office training was great, but my GSTL training leaves much to be desired.

    Archived Bad Training

My training has been getting a little better lately. It just felt like I was completing my learning plan on my own. Even the HR-TL was amazed at how much of it I was just left to go thorugh and do myself.

    Archived Bad Training

Sorry everybody, when I said "BR" I meant breakroom.org, not back room. I don't work in the back. Thanks for the advice though. It applies just as well in the general sense to the rest of the store.

Oh sorry! I meant BR as in breakroom.org, not back room at a store. sorry for confusion.

    Archived Bad Training

Like another post I read recently, I'm new to BR but not to Target. Anyway, I've been with Target a while and recently got a promotion. My training at my store seems it has always left something to be desired. (For me personally.) Luckily, I was able to pick most of it up quickly. But...
