Archived Is it true that you get Christmas day paid even if don't work and your average is 29. 50?

I've been averaging just under 40 for three years and have NEVER been paid for a holiday that I didn't work. How is this possible?

Archived The Big & Dandy Plano thread!

Not sure about the monarch rolls, but I'm fairly certain that the description for the clearance tickets on SAP tells you how many per roll. I remember reading it the last time I ordered some but for the life of me I can't remember what it is.

Archived Anyone else taking a truck on the 4th of July?

I considered that, but I'm the only one on my team who wasn't okay with taking the day off and I don't want anyone to assume it was me who made the call. They say they don't retaliate, but the last time I took up an issue I was having with HR, my hours got cut in half for three weeks...

Archived Anyone else taking a truck on the 4th of July?

My store doesn't have a truck on the 4th but it's also a Monday and not a normal truck day for us. They also banned certain specialty teams (POG and pricing) from working on the 4th and scheduled us to work four 10-hour shifts from Tuesday-Friday without even asking us if that was ok. Bet...

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

My store ran out of these a long time ago and I've had no luck finding the part number to order more. I did find the part number for something similar - it's the same adhesive single-label holder but the opening is at the top instead of the side. Still serves the same purpose! I can get the part...

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

That's the way it should be. My store has not always been the way it is now, and I've shed a few tears reminiscing about the leaders we have had in the past. I don't want to give too many details for fear of giving away who I am if any of them ever come to this forum - but our current group of...

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

I've been the signing team member a little less than a year so this is my first time doing BTS and I have to build and store them in the training room. I'm not even halfway done and I'm running out of room. I suggested storing them in the steel but anytime I suggest anything, I'm dismissed with...

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

My POG TL told me the other day that the back wall is the only part of BTS that calls for backer paper. I haven't had a chance to look into it myself yet but I hope she's right.

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

We ran out of 14" and 22" pushers last week. We were spread pretty thin and had to remove some from certain aisles just to make others look somewhat decent. We have a tooooon of 18" pushers left but maybe only like a dozen or so of the front track things. We haven't set first aid or pain yet...

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

What I understood from the transition guide was that we're only adding one table to rear seasonal. The current one is being reset to Marimekko and resets back after that. Also worth noting that the overheads say "select stores only" so if anyone hasn't gotten them yet, that could be why.

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

I met with my HR ETL today and brought her the paperwork. She said that it's pretty outdated and they don't use it anymore...basically gave me the same generic speech about how we don't have enough payroll, etc. I'll admit I don't know the first thing about how payroll or scheduling works, but I...

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Thank you so much for this. I found that document on workbench, printed it out and I'm planning on meeting with my HR ETL later this week (she wasn't in today) about it. I'm generally a soft-spoken person but I have no problem expressing my concerns/issues at work. I just feel like each time...

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Is it pretty typical for signing tms to be scheduled in several different workcenters each week? I feel like I am being pulled in so many different directions. I work 40 hours every week but sometimes I only have one shift in signing, and the rest will be pricing or flow. We are a low volume...

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

I just took over as the new Signing TM a few days ago. I have had little/no real training and was forced to use the wave this morning to take down all the plaid overheads despite the fact that I was never actually trained to use it. I'm actively dreading next week because I have absolutely no...
