Archived Target pulling out of Canada

From my understanding that law only applies to government services and in Quebec. //As far as I know there isn't even a requirement to have French on the labels unless it is being sold in Quebec or passing through Quebec (or something like that) and that it's just cheaper to have 1 label...

Archived Target pulling out of Canada

The information about the DC in the Slate article is wrong. We were very much able to tell DC and if we ran out of goods. However, that doesn't mean that they actually sent anything back. I (and others!) received replies back all the time, they just didn't do anything about it. I took care of...

Archived Target pulling out of Canada

I would assume that would be only in Quebec. They completely messed up Quebec. I heard a lot of complaints from Anglo-Canadians regarding French only signs/self checkouts/customer service. In BC, I did not see one French sign in Target and there was 0 use of French.

    Archived ETL HR as LOD

I wish our ETL HR was like that. When she is ETL she is constantly walking the store going between depts. (mainly receiving and consumables since we are the "troublemakers" read: we send a lot of complaints to HRBP/DTL) Asking what we are doing, how long it will take, what our goals are for the...

    Archived ETL HR as LOD

It was one pallet of milk and the other pallet half milk/cream with other half miscellaneous other dairy items. We also checked the temperature with a thermometer and it was above acceptable levels. It was 6-7 Celsius (43-45F?) and I know bacteria growth starts at 8c (46F) while acceptable...

    Archived Positive Target Canada News.

It's hard to keep FFF attitude when everyone's hours get cut to between 4 and 20 even though our sales are above forecast and rising. Coupled with a new TL/SrTL leaving every month but not before making it clear to everyone 'you can do better than working here' (I've been told this by my current...

    Archived ETL HR as LOD

Haven't had one for 2 months. Were told by DTL that we won't have one until July. Although I think they've realized how much our store has gone downhill and have been trying to find one faster. We've been relying on visiting STLs from a nearby store and the States to come in once a week and the...

    Archived ETL HR as LOD

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if it is best practice to have ETL HR as LOD? At my store, my ETLHR was occasionally LOD and is now LOD almost every day after the departure of our STL (and 3 other Sr/TLs). However, recently we had an issue where LOD had to be called and told us to do...

    Archived Positive Target Canada News.

I've been working at Target since September of 2013 and I have yet to hear a TM say "can I help you find something". At my store no one will approach guests and most TMs that work there couldn't care less about FFF attitude (not saying they're rude, in fact, they are very willing to help if you...

Archived Pay rates in different departments & Crosstraining

Hey everyone, I'm cross trained in 6 (8, I guess) departments: consumables "captain" (read: TL since I do everything a TL does with hardlines pay however I was never 'trained' in consumables but I've been the head of consumables since the store opened), reverse logistics, presentation...

    Archived Question re: Market

Regarding dairy order, my TL and ETL have yet to learn how to order correctly (when they took over ordering, we were disposing up to 2 pallets of milk every 5 days while other times they would forget to submit 2 orders in a row). Also, I now write the dairy order for our Starbucks...

    Archived Question re: Market

According to my ETLHR and STL they are the responsibility of TMs. Is there anything on TGT Source that proves it? I've already contacted my HRBP regarding this issue, but nothing was really done except I get more recognition in huddles by the STL. My STL pointed to my Target Canada Job...

    Archived Question re: Market

I was just wondering if writing dairy order, calling/emailing vendors, calling in team and doing walks/audits with HQ is classified as Market duties for a TM as per best practice like my STL/ETLHR says.

    Archived Question re: Market

Hi all, I was just wondering about market best practices. Since I'm from Target Canada things might be different, but I just wanna get everyone's opinion on this. I've been having trouble in determining my role as Market/consumables TM. When we opened (to guests) we did not have an ETL...
