I only worked at Target part-time, so i could never have been a TL. I saved most of my energies for my full-time job elsewhere. I DID however take along dozens of team members out on my super limo rides with me, so those were my contributions towards high team member morale :):)

OMG....i remember back in 2004 (when i first started my 13 years at Target) that mgmt use to BEG team members to work as many hours as possible!!! Those first few years there'd be at least one ETL going up and down the salesfloor and approaching team members to get them to offer more availability!

One time my 15 minute break turned into a 45 minute break in the breakroom because too many beautiful team member girls kept joining me at my table for their lunch breaks as time went on! I finally tore away at 45 minutes with at least 8 of them at my table....had to get back to the salesfloor!

Amen to that!

A good friend of mine put in her 2 weeks notice today after 11 years. She got a better job with much better pay! Her parents first met at Target AND she met her husband there as well. This whole "modernization" thing is by far the worst thing Target has ever done to itself!

Had a guest call corporate on me during my lunch break because i dumped her at my register onto the GSTL. I called the GSTL over and said "here, deal with this" and took off to by then my very overdue lunch. I got back from said lunch and the LOD mentioned it to me, but that's all that happened...
