    Drastic hours Cuts?

One TM has been complaining to me daily about how much it sucks and is passed that they "Won't make an exception" for because she needs the money. 🙄 Then be proactive and pick up a shift.

    Drastic hours Cuts?

I don't work a full 40 hours, but the newest schedule has me at 12 after consistently getting 24-25 (25 is my max for a solid few months.

    1 minute compliance

We have one TL that always says "meal" and one that always says "lunch" while the rest of the team just says "half" lol.

    No Pizza

We haven't had a Food Ave for 5 years. Funny story: Right after we lost our Food Ave, a lady came in with a coupon for a bag of popcorn, but she didn't know that we had gotten rid of pizza and popcorn. I told her as much and she didn't believe me lol, so I called the SETL over and he told her...

Light at the end of the tunnel?

4 callouts for our front end today and pretty much one closing cashier and one SETL. Two GM TMs for backup... Definitely going to be a fun night.

DIO 2%. No complaints from me. I'm just happy it wasn't the TL that hates me (or at least it feels like it

    I just don't get it!!

You actually want to keep working after your shift ends? A for effort, but it's extremely rare that people finish every task in their workload on a given day. Don't stress yourself out, work is stressful enough when you're on the clock. It's not good for your mental health. Prioritize...

    I wish I could visit a $85 mil + volume store.

We have 16 checklanes, 16 SCOs (8 grocery, 8 GM) plus 2 line busters and even that doesn't feel like enough sometimes.

    I wish I could visit a $85 mil + volume store.

I'm in a HV store. It's busy, especially during holidays or inclimate weather, but tbh, I honestly don't notice it since I became my store's main line buster. The biggest problem our store has is Call outs / NCNS, which on a bad day can be absolutely miserable because the SETLs are basically...

    Already Cutting hours ?

Typical. It'll only get worse as Q4 goes on...

What is it like working at Target?

It's OK. I like it much better now that my former awful ETL is no longer there. It can drive you to drink some days, but having good co-workers and solid leadership make life 10x easier.

Management Rant & The Cost Of It

Yep, went through this just this past spring. I think my store went through about 5 SETLs because a couple moved out of state, one got fired, a couple quit and one switched workcenters. It's somewhat frustrating when it happens as fast as it did at my store, but we adapt pretty quickly. Such is...

    Mobility aids at work

I remember the first time I asked to switch to SCO because being on a lane was compromising my safety if I did it for a full 8 hour shift and her response was "Well, but you've done it before. Why do we need to make a change now?" 🙄

    Mobility aids at work

Interesting that this topic comes up now as my attempts to get heard about accommodations has been a nightmare up until recently. I just called my store yesterday to confirm my return to work after a 2.5 month LOA due to surgery and will be returning in a manual wheelchair. I was actually quite...

    Returning to Normal Hours

Dude, business at my store pretty much dies at 8:30...We basically stand around watching the clock for an hour and a half...Pointless to go back to 11-midnight hours.

    Things might be looking up

One of my current TLs started as a cart attendant. Best of luck to you.

Does your target still have a food court?

We got rid of ours in favor of a liquor store a few months after I came onboard.

    I'm Lost! The REDCard Thread

All right, I feel like this should be obvious, but when doing an in-store sign up, when does the cashier get credit for it? As soon as it's approved or when the temporary barcode prints out?

If you could restructure the target process...

This, a million times this. My store has been through like 5 TLs in the past few months all because the original TL that was hired was terrible and had absolutely zero clue as to how Target operates, making it 2x harder for his TMs to effectively do our jobs.
