Archived one step closer to unionizing?

I have talked about it at work and we have a lot of people who'd be in on it if it weren't for the fact that ours is a "Right To Work" state...

Archived Now it's posted, what's your schedule for Thanksgiving and Black Friday?

Calling out on Black Friday or Thanksgiving had better come with the bill from the Emergency Room. Or a death certificate. It's "too important" that the drones get their deals than for us to have anything happen to us in those 48 hours.

    I'm Lost! The REDCard Thread

just remember, withoit any real incentive to get them, asking is the best you should expect. you can coach thwm for not asking, but you shouldn't coach them for not getting them. especially next weekend, there won't be a lot of time for people to be hammering away at a long sales pitch.

    Archived Siren's Eye

you have to remember, anyone over the rank of Store Manager typically has no contact with the reality of retail. they think they know what is going on, they recieve reports telling them what to think, and our job is to smile and nod when they hand out their sage advice.

Speed weave? whatever that means... You have to figure out what is important at the moment. Change calls? probably urgent. price check? maybe better handled by a person on the floor. If you are qualified to be a GSA, your first job will be to figure out how to decide.

somehow, I was missed on the schedule for Thanksgiving, but I have heard quite a few people saying the same thing, especially after the "don't even bother, you're working that day" speech we got. I work Black Friday from 7am to 4pm in Electronics.

Archived Target Drops Criminal Background Checks: Should We Be Scared?

The criminal background checks discriminate against a lot of people who have minor offenses. Eliminating them from the initial application process allows an applicant to explain themselves instead of being rejected automatically for an offense. In Virginia, lots of people go to jail for driving...

the managers aren't the ones making money hand-over-fist by our selling Redcards, the corporation and shareholders are. But there is no excuse for the company to not compensate us for selling these damn things.

exactly why I don't work too terribly hard to sell Redcards. a free coffee or a hot dog? seriously? I'm not six. You want me to spend time on the redcard pitch? line my pocket.

Archived new to target and low on redcards

the quotas are going up for Q4, and you can tell. GSTLs are patrolling the lanes for coaching opportunities rather than to actually do their jobs. Managers are also stalking employees who aren't cranking them out. Watch your ass.

Great. Next time you make a post, try and use complete and concise sentences, maybe some punctuation marks, so that you look less like a 12 year old troll and more like an adult.

Archived No wonder the stock is dropping, Target practices is DUMB and WASTE TIME all the time

Stuff like this will happen when a store stops having dedicated personnel to handle stocking, pricing, signage, etc. When I worked for Sears 10 years ago, we had two ladies who did all our price signage. There were very few errors and things were done correctly. Coming to Taget and seeing the...
