Anyone know how mileage reimbursement works?

If you are lucky enough to get away with not doing the “deduct commute” then That’s great for you. But any HRBP or whomever is approving it that knows what they are doing is going to flag that and send it right back to be fixed. I’ve done a LOT of support help and they are not supposed to pay...

Anyone know how mileage reimbursement works?

So you should really partner with your HR/SD about the hotel thing. It can vary and it’s up to them on what they want to do. However, for the mileage itself you need to go in and put your starting point and the ending point. Use the map function. Then you need to deduct your daily commute...

    Do TLs have requisition budget?

Team leads don’t have their own budgets but there are a couple budgets that stuff comes out of. That’s why it’s so important when doing a requisition to pick the right thing. “Fun-team member recognition” budget is different than say the “supply” budget if you requisition a notebook or pens or...

Logistics Anyone else having trouble hitting RFID Scan % this week?

Yep. They are testing a couple departments or something and bath was one of them was the response I got. We submitted ours lower than normal. When you aren’t sure always send a myhelp. Doesn’t hurt to flood them with the chats. They need to send out alerts sooner if they know there are issues on...

    Payroll question

I understood it as you have to cut 200 hrs because next week is the last week of the month. Not when writing the schedule. That said as MrT wrote, it isn’t that hard to cut hours if you make sure people don’t clock in early, they leave on time, and only replace call outs that are critical. If...

    Inventory Day

Are you actually doing inventory though? In the evening? Or just last minute inventory prep/super zone for them to do inventory the next morning? Rare for inventory to happen 2nd shift. Typically it is an overnight event or they come in early morning and start.

    Covid question/Calling off

Did you speak to your HR clerical or HR ETL? To clarify. A positive test is a positive test. You are off work. However, in order to get PAID for the time off it has to be a PCR test. Make the appointment and get the real test. When you get the results give them to work so they can put in for...

I forgot to close three registers!!?

Well shame on her and she should get a PDD. Cash office is important and for someone to realize an error in there and just choose to not say anything or fix it is just wrong. But at least you are off the hook

I forgot to close three registers!!?

The closing lead should have checked all the bags to make sure they were all accounted for. However, accidents happen and sometimes registers act up and have to be rebooted and you can’t get the money out at that time. As long as no money was left out the closing lead will probably just get a...

Opinion: worst TL position to have empty ?

It’s going to depend on the store volume and headcount really. A higher volume store with multiple GM leads might not suffer as much with an inbound lead out since they could rotate and cover. But a low volume store with only 2 GM leads would definitely suffer with either one of those missing...

    Price Accuracy

Something I noticed today that needs fixed. When you do the audit and have the portable printer and scan an item like batteries for example and the price is wrong it will print you a label. Nice. Except said battery had 8 facings and the audit only printed me 1 label. Had to back out of the...

    Price Accuracy

I 100% agree with doing the job right from the start. But let’s back up. Not long ago we all had to go through the agonizing process of scanning the entire store to correct the prices in one weekend. Now if the POG team has been doing their price accuracy labels and weekly pricing is being done...

    Price Accuracy

Hip printer is necessary with the new audit. Biggest reason we are in this mess is people skipping steps with regular price change. It asks you to attach to a portable printer before even keying in the prices. To batch the labels with the intent of going back and printing them to put up is...

    Price Accuracy

We just started it and each lead owns their own areas. Take a hip printer and with a goal of at least 50 a day it’s easily manageable. Some leaders obviously have less then others but as long as people don’t wait until the very end of the week to do all 500 it should be fine.

Does temp. Sidecaps count for set on time report?

Right, but sounds like you are at least putting them up to begin with. Once they start to fall apart or sell down is a different matter. What I’m referring to is those districts that say you can’t put any out at all when the company clearly wants them.

Does temp. Sidecaps count for set on time report?

See, this is what I don’t understand. Corporate makes these decisions and sends these things out. So how is it right that districts get to decide if they “want” to put them out or not and causing stores more work. Because yes, it takes a lot more work to take a completely full board game shipper...

    Price change process

Why can’t the price change stay up on the ties like it used to? For example, during the toy reset ties get broken and clearance gets removed. Say you set all of toys and finish and then print your price change labels on Friday. It still prints everything for the locations in the aisles even...

    A question regarding walkouts…

It’s an issue for AP. You do the best you can to guest service them on the floor, and if they do a walk out then all you can do is make a note of the time and as best of a description as you possibly can and pass it on to AP if they are not there. Other than that you don’t do anything. Do not...

Showed up and sent home with a crisis number but the message says to report to work?

I’ve never been in the situation. But I would call the store and if no results then call that hotline number. It’s possible when they gave you that paper at your previous shift they had just made the decision to close or cancel the truck and it takes time to get that information up the district...
