Archived Moving from Backroom TM to PMT (formerly SFT): What to expect?

Congrats if you get the position. You should see around a $4 raise. You will get 1 month of training, although the first week will be a lot of online training modules. Don't expect to learn everything at once and there are lots of resources available to you. Check out the Target Wiki site on...

    Archived SFT and leadership

I don't see the SFT position going away for a while. I could see the FMBP position eventually being eliminated before they eliminate SFTs. With the ETL-LOG now in charge of SFTs within the store the FMBPs act more as a consultant now. In our group they have already began reducing FMBPs. Some...

    Archived SrTL to SFT?

There are 3 Tell me a time when... questions and then a few job specific questions at the end. For me it was two interviews. One with the FMBP and the second with the FMML. The one with the FMML was more of a meet and greet get to know you kind of interview.

    Archived Asked to change position

They will give you a raise depending on the difference in paygrade levels. SFT is Paygrade 17. It can be a little difficult to negotiate pay. Since you are a TL, i'm guessing either PG11 or 13, you could see between $1-3 depending on your current pay level.

    Archived Asked to change position

I don't see them reducing SFT positions anytime soon. They just invested a lot of money into Facilities Management with them going more digital (SFT iPads, new online portals, etc.). Target also has a competitive advantage in that they have a facilities employee in the store to keep it looking...

    Archived Asked to change position

SFT would be a raise and consistent hours. SFT is also considered a senior team lead although you will not have Sr TL duties such as LOD shifts. Moving to a lower volume store can be difficult. There will be less store support because they will have less hours. The difference between target...

    Archived New SrTL Hardlines

Sr TLs at my store do 2 LOD shifts and 3 regular TL shifts. For example one Sr TL is the opening LOD on Mondays and Tuesdays and the rest of the week they do their normal TL duties (running the zone, helping guests, pushing clearance, etc.).

DTL is the last interview for TL position. Group HR is the last interview for ETL.

    Archived Presentation HELP!!

Our store does everything your store does except for pulling batches. Our presentation TL sets when they have the chance because their hours are included in the Presentation workload hours. You will start to learn that some planos take less time than it says it will take on the adjacency...

    Archived presentation

As the signing TM, I break down and organize the signing, fixtures, displays and backerpaper each week. I do most of my PTL's paperwork, which includes stapling planograms, writing locations on them and separating them by department. I also separate the salesplanners by department and the PTL...

    Archived presentation

    1. Our PTL is usually scheduled 40 hours under presentation. Ideally, they are expected to to help set because their hours is coming out of the presentation workload. However, my PTL is lazy and spends most days "planning." They sometimes plans workloads for them self but end up giving it to...

    Archived Placement possibilities?

Most new ETLs at my store usually start as either ETl-GE or ETL-HL.

LOD misbehaving. How do you report this type of behaviour anonmyously?

Our etls requisition food like ice cream, chips, and soda from time to time for recognition. They have a separate account code for this that they type into the register. She is not stealing because the money for the food is coming out of the store account. Now if she didn't requisition the...
