Hey all,
I'm a new ETL waiting to start Business College and i'm surfing these forums to try and get a feel for the position. One thing I have noticed is you guys use almost as many acronyms as the military, so can someone define a few of these or point me to a glossary thread please?

You'll learn them quicker than you think. You'll be speaking Target lingo long after you quit or are termed.

Welcome to Target! There are a lot of ETL topics here that are discussed. Good luck!

Welcome to The Break Room.

The two main ones you have to remember is Spot (Target corporate) doesn't call them customers they call "guests" and they aren't employees they're "team members", shortened around here to TM.

What does SAP stand for?

I know what it is used for, but no clue what the acronym is short for.

TIPP stood for Target internal procurement process.

SAP is maybe something like supply/store acquisition process.

Yeah, SAP replaced TIPPs.
I don't know what it stands for though.

Yeah, I knew sap replaced tipp even though it isn't any real improvement to the end user, but I'm figuring they have similar actual names.
