Attendance points

So if a TM is late because the TL didn’t unlock the door in time they are SOL?

I'm sure ETLs will still be able to adjust punches to solve those issues. I suspect it's more along the lines of "this person was actually absent but we like them so lets remove the point".

punch correction.
Q: Watch a 🆕 Metric get created by Corporate that’s going to monitor the editing of time by “Leadership”. I see the train wreck this shit 💩 show this is going to cause a Mile Away. Punch Correction will just be a Band Aid on a long term solution. I see District/Region Team Leaders watching carefully for it. Wish Draft Kings would take this Bet lol 😝

I guess we're taking the Human out of Human Resources.
Honestly, at our store, I'm good with it.

Our 2s and 3s don't have attendance issues. It's the 1s that have all kinds of attendance issues and getting them termed takes forever with the "let's try and help them get better" mindset.

This will help us move the dead weight out quicker.

Besides, errybody always complaining about Leads not getting rid of people with attendance issues and having to pick up their slack. This should make errybody happy that doesn't have a problem getting to work.

What make a TM a 1, 2, or 3?

Agree about the "let's try and help them get better" mind set. Seems like a lot of hand-holding and babysitting to me. But then, I'm old school about these things.
To simplify, 2s come to work, do their job and go home on schedule. 3s go above and beyond, work fast, will extend when asked to help complete tasks, etc. 1s have a history of being late, calling out, rarely getting their work completed on time, leave trash, cardboard, etc., generally need their hand held. You can try to help the 1s only so much with things that are correctable, i.e. how to push more efficiently, move with a sense of urgency, etc. Attendance is something you can't help them with beyond changing availability/schedule, the onus is on them to get out of bed and get to work on time. We've had 1s that we changed their schedule by 15 minutes later because they were always 6-7 minutes late to accommodate them, then they still came in 6-7 minutes late anyway after the schedule change.

Don't get me wrong, personally, the 1s are not bad people per se, I do like them for the most part, but at some point you have to realize that maybe the job isn't right for them and need to find a better fit.

I think 1/3 of our store would be 1s at this point. Every time someone leaves the next hire is less really. I can see how this system will be slightly manipulated at the store level to protect some if management wants to. Instead of endless write-ups for attendance issues this will just be more absolute. Starting it in Q4 will be crazy though if that happens, hopefully corporate does a watered down version first to see how it works out.
