I’m new (been for a month) and called out 2 weeks ago due to fever symptoms. I called out today. Will this bite me in the butt down the road?

Technically no they are forgiving absenses during the pandemic. But if it continues excessively then it may not be overlooked when you come towards the end of your probationary period.

2 call outs in a month? Not yet but it could be on the verge under normal circumstances.

Also depends on how much you are scheduled. Did you call off your only shift for the week or are you scheduled 40 hours?

I'd say given the circumstances a high temperature is a legitimate reason to call off. Don't worry about it.

The real question is why do you have a high temperature so frequently?

I’m not sure if it’s from the medication i’m on
