See my post above, return rebuy using double scan as the return can avoid auto-defect issues even with food/medicine/etc. Just don't get creative and try to use it to avoid having to toss actually returned unused food. As wasteful as it seems (especially since food banks will accept donations from individuals of unopened dry goods and cans), those rules are in place for a good reason.

Cartwheel also doesn't work if you put in a quantity insead of scanning each item.
