Changing banks for direct deposit

So I switched banks and added a new direct deposit. However, neither banks have my paycheck. Is it possible that it's at work in check form this week?

Possible. I would definitely check. Look at your pay stub online and see if there is a check number or a direct deposit note. It usually takes two pay periods for your direct deposit to become active, but I'm not sure about switching banks.

When I changed banks, I did get one live check in the middle.....they usually need to make sure the new information is correct.....

When I switched from my commercial bank to the Target CU, my check transferred without any live checks in between. I waited to switch banks on payday though, so that there were 2 weeks for the transfer to take effect.

I just switched banks. I cancelled my direct deposit for Bank1 on the 8th (my last payday), and put in the information for Bank2 on the 9th. I received my paycheck today no problem. Check to see if there's a paper check waiting for you, if not call your banks.
