Does anyone know if this is considered a conflict of interest? I'm scheduled to close as GSA one night, and then I'm in the cash office the next morning. I would think since I'm putting the money in the bags the night before that it conflicts, but my ETL seems to think it's fine.

I just want to cover my ass. Is there anything on workbench that I'm missing on this?

I clopen all the time so that doesn't bother me.

Thanks!

No different than if you touched the tills at all the day before...you could pocket the money anytime. This is why there are cameras and auditors.

According to my last ETL-AP that's not suppose to happen and anytime I would schedule it like that she would be on my ass about it. Sometimes you just can't help it though. Now that she's gone no one says anything to me.

It isn't supposed to happen, because you shouldn't be pulling AND counting the money, but it's pretty common I think. Lol.

I will give my store kudos on keeping the GSAs and GSTLs away from the C/O. If a lot of money goes missing, you can bet that AP or some important Target Acronym will be watching every second of the videos recorded by all the cameras in the C/O and front lanes.

In the past, I've had GSTLs that had a clopen every single week. Apparently it wasn't a big deal because it continued until she left the company.

I've done it plenty. Shoudlnt be a Coi since you don't know register system totals.

Theoretically isn't there some option in the K4 menu to print them? I never had any need to and have no register access anymore but I feel like there was.

Then who does cash office shifts if not the GSA/GSTL's?

We have one Cash Office Trainer, who lacks supervisor access, who seems to be a remnant from the specialist role that was purged, but other than that it's the GSA's that do C/O. The GSTL did it a few times, but the GSA's threw a fit to the STL, said he screwed up horribly, that money was improperly counted, it wasn't all right side up, or all facing the right way, and that basically he fucked up horribly, he hasn't touched C/O since.

I do cash office and then go cashier about 3-4 days per week, for years. If people wanna steal then they will. I'm honest and they know I'd never do anything like that. If they see a routine of money missing on a daily basis then for sure they will start documenting it and find out who the thief is. And believe me, there's not enough money in there for me to risk jail time. lol
BTW, in 8 yrs I've never heard of any report to see register totals. Even in CO there's no report.
I just don't see how or when you'd be able to pocket the money. There's cameras everywhere.

LOL, NONE of the gstls or gsas know CO. We have 3 TMs who know it-me, the HR tm, and a Starbucks TM. We've all been here for years. I used to be a CO Specialist. I guess they decided to not "fix" what wasn't broken. haha

Its in the supervisor control panel on the POS Registers. Has to be printed out during the same sale day, and as far as I know isn't retrievable later.

There are three of us who work the C/O. Two of us work S/D and the other is trained cashier/floor. It's not a bad system at all. I've been called in once for someone who was sick to run the C/O in four years. The rest of the time we keep each other informed of vacation days and what not so we'll never go without in the C/O.

A lot of stores do this. There used to be a CO Specialist position, but those core roles were merged into GSA when specs were eliminated.

If it happens in my store. GSA is supposed to notify ap. they will watch your numbers closely.
