Compost bins

Our store has compost bins now for defected produce?

However would these need to be outside?

They are also for any organic waste from Starbucks and cafe. They are kept in closed bins stored by the compactor (with lids to keep the smell contained). Once the bins are full they are placed on a sweep truck.

We have nats and fruit flies around ours it’s gross.

Ours has been getting moved around the backroom and it's annoying as hell.

They oughta be given the amount of gnats, fruit flies & roaches they'll attract & there ain't a Gaylord lid with a tight enough fit to contain the smell 😝

Gnats flying around the backroom? From compost bins kept inside? Sounds like a health dept issue. Brilliant.

Our store doesn't have any place to put them in the backroom.

We usually have freight that is sitting in front of the baler and compactor.

That stuff has to be constantly moved to change the bale anyway.
