Archived Did AP (LP) do a uniform change?

The LP/TPS guys who used to wear those quasi-LEO black uniforms are now wearing khakis and blue polo shirts, at least at my store now. I bet shoplifters will be petrified of them now 😛. Is this a company wide thing? What was the logic behind it? I would imagine those teenagers would think twice about stealing some Beats headphones if they saw someone in the old uniform waiting by the door with their arms folded.

The uniform changed to make AP more approachable.

I watched our AP watch a guy walk out of the store with a dvd box collection under his baggy white t shirt.

Nothing he could do.

I think I'd get in trouble if I was in AP.

I might flashback to my bouncing days in the 80's...

Yes, unfortunately that is a company wide change being implemented. All uniforms have to be changed over by June 30th. It's a BS thing, with the company saying that we're not "approachable enough." That's also BS, because plenty of honest guests approach me and ask for help, and it becomes obvious who the bad subjects are, because they avoid me like I have leprosy.

Yes, all of TPS now have soccer uniforms but hey at least they are comfortable.
