Just wondering how everyone elses stores do it. My store is a AA volume store and not going to give numbers but our electronic sales are always top 30 in the company (daily) just to give you an idea how busy it gets. but basically our overnight plano team decided they didn't want to do revisions for electronics anymore so me and another team member come in monday and tuesday to get through them all. Now up until mid november it was fine, we usually finished on tuesday but lately its been getting too busy where I am being pulled away constantly for guests. mondays I come at 7am and tuesday 5 for new releases but by the time the store opens I would have finished NR and the workload for revisions slows down to the point where I can't finish them in the 2 day period. How do all your other stores handle revisions and NR for electronics? I'm afraid its getting the the point where I won't be able to finish them in a timely manner like I have before just because its gets crazy busy at my store even with the 3 people we have over in electronics by 9am.

Start coming in Earlier. The revision workload should start slowing down considerably now that Christmas is almost here.

Shoot. WISH they slowed down.
We started on Tuesday. 26 hours of revisions for entertainment/gaming this week alone. That doesn't include the 108 revisions, which was what the tm in electronics usually did, but no one was scheduled. Myself and the ptl were racing to pull & set them, but we hadn't finished 012 by the end of the day tuesday. I can set fast, but with all the guests and the etl pulled the ptl to do her business walk....

Start partnering with your Backroom to do your (Streetdate) pulls at least on Monday evening. Typically I'll finish all the D58, 12 (which I don't do I just flex the browser completely now that they got rid of BS) and 108 by Monday at Noon save for the endcaps which I save for Tuesday morning.

HAHA Darikona. Unless we give backroom our hours, they won't pull for us and we are already running on 50% of planned hours.

Shoot, if I had a puller, we could of finished!!

We (plano) set aside 2 people monday night into tuesday to do all the revisions. I would raise a serious stink if plano decided not to do them. Plano gets the hours budgeted for them, sales floor does not.

We do not set the B planograms (I think you guys are calling them the 108). Those are tied off monday afternoon, pog filled by the closing ele person monday, and set by the ent person (or people) tuesday before opening. (side note, now that I am pushing ele with flow on a regular basis, I absolutely hate this practice, but recognize it is probably the only way to get it done 100% before opening on tuesday.)

Plano isn't getting the hours here. Adjacency calendar said 161, we got 75. No way we will make green this week.

One plano team member will set video games/electronics on moday night. Our entertainment team member comes in at 5am and will set entertainment best sellers and music browser on monday morning and set new releases on tuesday morning.

I come in earlier during 4th quarter on Monday, and the electronics tl is always willing to help. If anything bleeds over into Tuesday, I'll come in earlier Tuesday and the opening lod will always chip in if need be, but it's a rare occasion that I leave anything for Tuesday. I'm extremely lucky in the fact that I actually have a really intelligent set of executives who actually understand what I mean when I go to them and show them the workload and tell them that I need help.

hmm before electronics had to do them our plano team was more of the opposite... our entertainment specialist or reallly now just our entertainment guy said he always did the entertainment revisions and overnight handled NR and video games.

My store is AAA+, and Electronics dep is in top 3 in the company. We have 3, sometimes 4 TM opening. How you can't do it? If you come at 7am, by 8 you could be done with labelstrips on Elec, and go in Ent, where there is no high guest traffic in 8am on Monday.

There is 2 TM from ent and me from elec who do NR. We also have one more TM who helps me with guest experience. We also come at 7, sometimes 6. We put labelstrips, tie and drop bathes on Monday, and stage it for Tuesday, and on Tue just push NR from 7 to 8. Usually TMs from Entertainment do batches, because we have more stuff to do on the floor. For the past couple of weeks its been a struggle to finish everything on time, and we are still recovering from the 2day ad (reshop and backstock).

I know it depends on the store, and if you make sales. You can't partner with nobody, because nobody has the hours to spend on YOUR task. I had one batch from Monday, and it was still in the gun today.

This week was hectic, because with got the box with labels on Monday at 11am, so we have to print everything, plus we are still recovering from the 2day ad. Because of that, we didn't drop the batches on Mon. We came on Tue at 6, drop and stage NR first, then do everything else during the day.

My advice is to as much as possible on Monday.
