The system makes it really difficult because target does not want us to take them back, but my ETL wants to "make it right for the guest". So, if you have a GC you want to return, come on in to my store. You should probably bring your receipt though, but my ETL might take it back anyway. Code scratched off? No problem. It's ok sweetie! Your ETL doesn't know the policy evidently.
I would log out of the register and have the ETL do the the refund under their employee numbers.

This. I’ve had to say that to my leaders before. If you wanna do this return, you can do it.
That’s insane that they’re doing it. My store is strict about it.
