Just started during the madness of the holidays and was poorly trained. I've been doing flex/fulfillment. My question is, when pulling items for my online orders I often have to pull a casepack. I enter the total number pulled and then enter the number that I pulled for my order, putting the remaining case on the backstock pallet. I've been told that even if you're pulling from a waco you are to take all of that same item and pull it for backstock. Sometimes it does not come up on the screen 'did you pull all items', it just jumps to the next item. How am I letting the system know that I pulled everything or shouldn't I be pulling everything. Some tm's say yes pull it all others say ah just leave it. Confusing. Does it all get worked out once it's backstocked again? Total number just updates, doesn't add to original amount that was there??

Also, are tl's aware of everything I do? How long it takes me to fill an online order, if I'm pulling items in error, if I'm backstocking correctly? Do they keep up on these?

One last thing. Do they watch tm over the cameras? I swear there have been many occasions where I've mentioned something or someone that irritates me and the very next day it is taken care. ie, I complained about my devices not being available in the morning and that I'm just going to leave if I don't have equipment to use. The next day three my devices were nicely labeled for my area and fully charged. Also, I complained about a rude hr gal and the next day she went out of her way to be especially nice to me. Strange coincidences??

you should only be pulling the casepack. If its in a waco you should only pull the required amount the order is asking for.

When you're pulling from casepack, you should pull all of it, and take the quantity the guest ordered and set the rest aside for backstock. You should not do this for wacos, there is no point, since the stuff in wacos was already opened. That's why it is in wacos.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when the system asks if you pulled all from that location during a flex fulfillment, you found a baffle, or a product the system doesn't track quantities of. If it doesn't ask you, it should know how many are left (if any).

Anyone can see how long it takes you to do a flex fulfillment. There is a log in MyPerformance on Workbench. As long as you're completing them before the deadline, you should be fine, especially if you have to go to the sales floor (since you may get stopped by a guest).

I am not sure. The gal that trained me said that even if you're in a waco you need to pull all of the same item even if you only need one. Makes absolutely no sense - I've asked and they give me the same reply - 'ah, well I'm not so sure, just do what you think is best'. Yikes. I'm one that wants the correct procedure from the get go. I don't like following the direction of someone that doesn't give a crap or doesn't know what's going on. Basically, I believe most are underpaid and could care less. I don't know how long I'll last here.

No don't do that! It sounds like the person who trained you is absolutely clueless.

When you pick from a casepack, you pull the whole case so that you are not leaving a partially full case on the shelf.

Items in wacos are there because there was not a full case to be backstocked. There is absolutely no reason to pull all of an item out if you don't need all of them. Doing that WILL cause an error every single time because the system still thinks the items are backstocked there.

Now sometimes when you are picking an item, it will ask how many and other times it will not.
Picking from a casepack location - will ask quantity- enter the full case quantity - pull the full case
Picking one of an item from an open stock location - will not ask for quantity - pull out only one
Picking multiples of an item from an open stock location - will ask for quantity - key in exactly the same amount that you pull out

The only times it will ask if you pulled all is if it thinks you cleared all of that item out of the location (for some reason it does not do this if it was just one item) or if the system doesn't know how many of the item is left there (make sure you actually check before just hitting yes).

Finally, best practice is to backstock anything leftover from a casepack instead of setting it aside for backroom to deal with (especially if there are pallets of backstock). If you don't know how to backstock, the TL probably won't mind showing you.
