Archived How to fix a punch and what happens if I don't?

I was told I had to fix a punch last night because I Was missing one, which is impossible but that's besides the point. Anyway, I went on the computer on break but had no idea what the hell I was doing so figured I'd do it later when someone was around to help me. But I forgot and went home.

SO can someone walk me through it, step by step on how to do it, and tell me what happens if I don't?

Go on ehr, then to my time. Under punch correction, fix the day you missed. Your name will be on a list & you will not get paid until it is corrected.

You will see a calendar of the current month, click that and it will list your punches for the day. It happens no biggie.

I tend to do the one when you come just to early to punch in, get distracted and then forget or remember when it's way to late..

Just remember be honest, some stores do check cameras to see if you were actually there when you said you were.

But it doesn't tell me what punch I've missed, I looked. I don't know if it's supposed to be the one coming in, leaving or meal etc. Because I DID NOT miss the punch, the computer screwed up.

Just check your punches for each day until you find a day that's missing a punch.

Also I believe if you go into "My Timesheet" or something similar on My Time Self Service, it will say in big red letters on what day a punch correction is needed. Go into that, and check to see what punches are there. For example, if you were scheduled from 2 to 10, and you have punches at 2:00, 6:30, and 10:00 you can assume that you forgot to (or it didn't register) that you punched out for your meal. Just add a punch in the field below where your punches are listed, set it for 30 minutes after your meal punch, and select "Forgot to punch in/out" as the reason.

That's the best that I can explain without it in front of me.

There is a report next to time clock, if your name is listed, will tell you what date the punch is missing .

The report is there, my name is there but it doesn't give the date. All it says is that it was between 12/08/15 and 03/06/15.

There should pages behind it, to show dates. Also, you ask your hr to help you out.
