No idea if anyone remembers me LOL but I worked at target starting in 2016 at 17 years old, until 2020 when I was 21. Towards the end I was so burnt out and bitter, I really hated Target and guests. I quit because I started schooling for a job in healthcare. Well, i’m 26 now and it’s been a crazy 5 years, and I do have an amazing career - I’m part of surgical leadership at my hospital, I have the dream schedule of 6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri, weekends and holidays off. High pay, union, benefits, etc. As amazing as my job is, with my financial situation i’m realizing it’s not enough on its own right now, and I need a second job. Well, well, well, here I am crawling back and applying. I just applied for an on-demand position at my old store. With my full-time day job my availability during the week is obviously pretty limited (nothing before 4pm, but I am open all day on weekends) so I guess there’s a chance my application will get rejected. But, fingers crossed I get to come back, and can just muscle memory my way into being a cashier again and get some extra cash without having to go somewhere unfamiliar. When I left, I always swore I would never be back. Never say never!

Welcome back! Your availability might be limited, but night and weekend availability is highly valued (at least at my store), so you might have a chance. Back in the day when I was there, my store would have snapped you right up, we were always trying to fill night and weekend shifts. Your prospective store may feel the same way. Doesn’t hurt to try. Good luck!
And congrats on your new career! Grabbed the gold ring there!
