I’m Lost

GUEST is a pretty good one. Aesthetically and grammatically on point, flawlessly on brand, and gives good enough advice to use in your day-to-day. Cheesy? Of course, but we are kinda cheesy. It's one of the best corporate acronyms I've ever seen.

WIRE (Welcome, Inspire, Rewarding, Easy) is such a mess that we should build a word gun and fire it into the sun.

Welcome, Inspire is a bit dramatic but arguably reasonable. Are we really jumping right into inspiration after a welcome, though? Seems aggressively artistic, like walking into a party and being handed a bag of cocaine instead of a beer.

Then it swerves derp-long into syntactic hell with Rewarding and loses its already weak momentum. The brain just locks the fuck up when it sees a verbal progression like this. And you don't just make something rewarding for a shopper. The things you do might result in the guest getting a rewarding feeling, but that is an unbelievably complex emotional process that can't be forced.

Easy? Sure, that sounds easy. It will be really easy to inspire people and give them a rewarding experience on purpose. That's why we work retail, because we're on that Dale Carnegie level of human mastery.
