Fellow Former and Current Target Employees,

How have y’all been? I haven’t been on here for a year because I forgot my password and had to reset it. Been thinking about how some of y’all I used to talk to on here have been and yes even to those I’ve had a lot of disagreements and problems with. I’ve seen the news over the last year how this company still has not fixed things and doesn’t care about employees but what else is new? I been gone from the company for just over 3 years and I’m now at the 2nd company I been at since I left Target (2 different jobs and companies since I quit Target). Just thought I’d reach out to everyone and see how y’all are. Great state of Florida has been well! Oh and by the way, I’m a Beer and Non-Alcoholic drink merchandiser now and for the past month I finally have a consistent route every week in my city and I have one Target store I work at one of my days during the week and gives me a bit of the the Target PTSD. Feel free to say something!

Yeah, life has been pretty bumpy since I left Target in 2021. I moved back to Japan in 2022 in order to be closer to my grandmother until she passed away during the summer that year. I worked at a restaurant for about a year until I moved back to New Jersey in 2023. I studied some coding until I moved back to Japan again last November.

I found a job here and I'm pretty happy with life here. I've hung out with some friends and you don't need to drive anywhere in Tokyo since the train/subway system is so prevalent that you can get around easily. I certainly miss the US but it just felt different since a lot of the people that I knew growing up have moved on and don't live in the area anymore.

I can understand about the Target PTSD but I'm glad that you have a new job and are happy with it.

I’ve had a rough year. It’s a long story but to make it short: I quit my long time Auto Shop Job that I been with for over 2 and a half years cus of shop manager not giving a damn no more and putting too much work on me and other employees who are lazy trying to mess with me. Had 2 other jobs I’ve tried and was fired in 2 weeks during training with one of them being complete bs that I was fired because the training was terrible. Had to suffer from unemployment for a month after the first firing. 2nd time was only a week cus I had other interviews I had done. Where I’m at now isn’t too bad it’s just the pay is low for the work we do and management finds things to bitch about for Merchandisers but it could be worse. Not sure how long I’ll stay here for but it’s helping pay my bills and the stuff I buy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sorry to hear about the jobs that didn't work out after the Auto Shop job. I actually applied for a job too that I was fired from after about a month and I felt like the training was inadequate so I know that feeling.
