Is there a LOD order of succession? For example all the ETLs and SR. Team leads somehow die during the business day. Does LOD transfer to a TL? If all the team leads die, what team member would take control ?

Umm, realistically if people started dying they would prrrrooooobably close the store because you either have a murderer or a health hazard in the store that needs to be dealt with.

Hypothetically as far as I know there is no order of succession, it would just be passed to the next ETL or SrTL available, or TL if necessary. If you ran out of ETLs/SrTLs/Key-carrying TLs though, you'd need to contact the DTL anyway just to close the store, because nobody would have keys or the alarm codes or safe codes. I remember reading a story on here about an ETL who was LOD giving up and going home with his notice posted on the STL's door during a closing shift, they had to call in the DTL to close the store for the night.

Im just saying fellow team members. My store is in the middle of nowhere. It would take a couple hours for a DTL to arrive. All the ETLS and Sr. Team Leads drop dead. The police will of course arrive, but they can't make the call to close the store. Who will be in charge to talk to the police when they arrive?

If anyone's dying in the fire aisle it's gonna be from fire, since according to everyone on this board their stores are fire deathtraps with 40 vehicles of backstock parked there.

If every leader in the store is incapacitated, any smart TM should call Alert One and 911. Alert One would notify the District/Regional staff, who would then coordinate with local emergency personnel to close and secure the store. Fire Dept (in my area, at least) has a knoxbox to secure the entrance doors if needed.

Realistically, if every key carrier in the building just suddenly died and the DTL was a few hours out..the AP would call the Police/FD. Most buildings/businesses have given a key to the Local LEO's to turn off alarms in the middle of the night. I know that our local sheriff's have a key and a pass code in case the building is broken into or a alarm has gone off that someone is in the store. I know in some states / counties it is "encouraged" that you give them a key in case of issues. That way if there is a problem, say a gas leak, they don't have to break something down in order to get in.

If that idea didn't pan out, the AP and another person would probably have to stay at the store until the DTL got there. In a case of a natural disaster, the people would all stay in the store until travel was cleared and then a DTL would show up.

I am sure somehow someway....the Etls would time their untimely demise so that Spot would not be left without coverage.

Uhhh no if someone dies the store does not close....personal experience. ...lol

We had a guest die in my last store, most people didn't even know what happened. Was an older lady and she had her grandson with -- our fitting room lady pushed him around the store in a cart for a while keeping him company. Talk about sad 🙁
Your fitting room lady pushed the dead lady around? what the....
