I agree with @targetuser - zebra in pouch on hip, radio clipped to pocket - never have to search around for either.

Well, we also want to conserve to make sure other store TMs get one. Each GSTM doesn’t need one.

nothing prevents that just makes it more difficult. where there is a will there is a way

The new ones being digital would, as far as I'm aware, basically require someone to have another radio from a Target, and depending on the exact setup possibly even from the same store to do that, so it would become quite uncommon. Currently with analog it just takes a radio with the ability to transmit on the same frequency range and it works at any store.
