So this week, I got scheduled 41 hours. Stayed extra for Black Friday prep overnight which brought me to 47 hours. Worked thanksgiving and such and people getting paid 1.5x, how does that work for overtime plus time and a half? Because you get 1.5 if you work 40+ hours, and this holiday pay, so is it just a solid time and a half or how does it work?

You get 1.5 for anything over 8 as well, depending on your pay, but if that time happens to already be 1.5 you wont be making 3x the rate. So if that 7 hours of over time is already 1.5 then nothing changes. This ignores things like differential and the holiday bonus buck as those are calculated on their own.

The hours you work on Thanksgiving (or any holiday with holiday pay) do not count towards your normal 40 hours. For overtime, you'll need to only look at the 6 non-holiday days. If you work more than 40 hours during those 6 days, you'll get some OT; less than 40 and you won't get OT. You could work 40 hours for the 6 regular days and then all 24 hours on the holiday and end up working 64 hours in one week without getting overtime.
