Hi Im GSTL and one of my team members invite me to her house with some others team member honoring her new house. so there were alcohol involved and my SD told me that everyone is talking about me being in that party and that it could be consequences. Does someone has being through this before or none what the process could be?

No fraternization with subordinates is a pretty standard rule in management. You done f#%^d up.
No experience to share though. Good luck

I had a former GSTL go through the exact same thing. He went barhopping with no agenda and just happened to meet a number of TMs from the store; not even from this team. He bought a round of drinks and photos were taken. Some how the events got to management and they believe since he was a TL he should have not bought drinks or associated with them. He was put on Final and temporarily reassigned to a position off the lanes. I think he ended up leaving because he could never get back in graces with management.

Final means like an ultimatum but still in the position.

depends on levels of professionalism. I can hang out with a couple TMs from work, but I never go to the TM kickbacks and parties. That’s looking for rumor-mill trouble and blackmail pics. On another hand I’ve gone to bars and what not with SD’s, district BPs, and group personnel (not my district or group), but we know to shut the fuck up so it isn’t an issue. Use your best judgement

It's a bad idea to go anywhere with anyone who loves to record anything and everything.
That’s what pornos are.
You go out with a girl, you hit it off, you go back to her place, get undressed and notice a dude in the corner with a camera.
Bam! Porno!

Laws very from state to state. there is no direct answer.

It's honestly something better avoided.
That said I was an offender. It happens when you're an ETL at 19-22 working with people mostly your age/older - you run across good friend potential.
I was very careful in how I spent my time outside of work with them and I set a lot of boundaries beforehand. Basically my rule was I don't talk about work and don't talk to me about work.
That said though - my time spent outside of work with my subordinates still would not of looked good to my superiors so I'd still advise against it. I was just young dumb and lonely especially when I started at my first store lol.

There are just TOO many variables that can lead to bad news - many more than good.

That’s just a no no

Shit, in most companies drinking with your boss/subordinates is called "The company holiday party", so if they put you on a final for hanging out with TMs just once, that's pretty harsh. If there were minors and alcohol, that's a whole different level, obviously, and one shouldn't make a habit of it, but one housewarming party doesn't seem to warrant a CA. IMO.

Honestly I was just trying to get accepted by them since im new to the company and honestly trusted me it works they respect me more but my boss see it in other way. I know it was my bad That I shouldn’t do it but in my old job I used to hang out with my bosses and the were never problems
