Make sure to let the LOD know that a raincheck and substitution need to be made for anything that is not on the exclusion list that is manually rainchecked at the register.

Just remember your store is scored on the number of manual 9801s at the register. You want very few of them. Your floor teams should be make scanning raincheck pads instead.

If I remember correctly, 9801 will only ding you if the item doesn't have a rain check pad tied to it. If there is a pad tied to it but you still 9801 it, it won't affect the score. Because there are always those guests who won't take a damn ticket. :facepalm:
