Alrighty. So I'm moving cross-country. There are three stores in the area where I'm moving to.Store A and B are closest to where I plan on moving to. Store C is an hour drive from where I'm moving to. Stores A and B have not responded if they have open positions. Store C has said they'll take me.I talked with my ETL-HR about all this, and she agreed that we should wait to see if stores A or B respond. The problem is that she just went on vacation until Tuesday.Should I call Store A and B and see if I can talk to their ETL-HR?

How big of a factor is time? If you don't mind waiting a few days and the two hour round trip everyday, I'd wait for your ETL-HR to return and talk to her about store C. Calling the other stores wouldn't hurt as well.

Have your ETL-HR try to call the ETL-HR, STL or another HR rep at the two possible stores. Emails can make transfers trouble.I moved from stores in Tenn. to Iowa, and back to Tenn. Both when move to Iowa and back, I had trouble. When moving to Iowa, my ETL-HR had just gone on maternity leave. The Clerical TM had to end up conducting my transfer. Then when moving from Iowa back to Tennessee, I knew I was moving 8 weeks in advance. My ETL-HR at my Iowa store had emailed my Tennessee store ETL-HR several times but with no response. One week before I was supposed to move, my Iowa HR finally called my Tennessee HR to find out she out on training for the last 2 weeks. Then only to find out that my Tennessee HR further screwed up my transfer by not confirming with my Iowa HR I had arrived.

I can't have my ETL-HR or STL do that. My ETL-HR is on vacation, and STL has the weekend off.

Just try to get anyone in HR or your area ETL to contact the stores. You may end up having to contact those stores yourself, and explain to them your ETL is out, but you would like some info on availability for transfer.

Well I learned one thing from calling stores A and B.Just like in my store, HR does not like to pick up their phone.Well, that's Store B down. *praying for store A to have the hours*
