RFID Help?

So I work in SFS Fulfillment and I’m a fairly new hire, I want to stop taking so long on batches especially ones with a lot of clothing items (and I imagine this will become more common as we get closer to Black Friday and Christmas) and I think the main thing holding me back is that I don’t know how to use the RFID properly. The main issue I’m running into is that I’ll use the RFID to look for an item, I find the item, the next item also needs me to use the RFID, I try to start looking for the next item but the RFID keeps scanning as if I’m still looking for the item i just found (eg. it’ll start beeping but it beeps at the item currently in my cart 🫩). Is there something I’m doing wrong? I also have issues trying to connect it with my zebra sometimes even though I think I’m doing it right but a brief refresher would be nice.

Welcome! Maybe a bad rfid gun. We had old ones that were a hit or miss on connection. Black ones are the best. Check in with style folks for help.
