Archived Seasonal cashier speed

If you are seasonal, I would not put too much worry about speed. I would concentrate more on scanning accuracy. But do try to keep things going.

But if there will be any hiring out of the seasonal pool, then I would make sure you know your speed.

Save hangers to after the transaction has processed. Push redcards every transaction (try it twice if they have a large order). Guide the guest to start payment when you start scanning.

Even if you're seasonal, speed score is not nearly as important as REDcard conversion, especially if you're new. You will learn to scan and bag faster with time. At my store even as a permanent and veteran cashier they just want you to stay green (88%+).

I could average 70%, no one'd care, or even notice. Think I'm usually around 93%, but we do have people in the 70-75% range that no one ever says anything about.
