My friend has been getting his friends to come in and buy an item and do the survey to recognize him for crazy things. One guest didn't want her receipt, so he gave it to his friend to write a survey mentioning his name... Is this against Target policy? Could he get in trouble, or wha? It's a cool strategy for recognition... just seams like it could lead to problems?

They might have caught on already. I imagine names don't get mentioned in guest surveys very often.

Names get mentioned in surveys at my store quite often. However if I was your friend I would discontinue this immediately.

If someone wants to start digging it won't end pretty.

I'm sure email addresses/sources of the survey are tracked internally. Not sure if they go as far as to track the IP of where the survey originates, but I'm sure they are recognizing that the same surveys that are mentioning this TM are coming from the same computer.

Sadly, your friend is probably going to get termed. I've seen ETL's get fired for this.
