Some Targets in our area have Krispy Kreme doughnut mini-kiosks placed close to the checkout lanes. A Krispy Kreme delivery driver comes early each morning, pulls whatever is left over from the previous day and puts out fresh doughnuts. These aren't cheap, a 6-pack is $12.99.

Have you seen Krispy Kreme doughnuts at your Target or at others in your area? I assume this is in beta testing mode.

Yes about a year now, maybe more. They're really good donuts. Delivery is not daily, AFAIK. Krispy Kreme has been a local fixture since before I was born, I always assumed it was a regional (Southern) delicacy.

Sugar overload. They are delicious but don't eat any the day before your annual blood glucose test. My local Dog has them but I flat out refuse to pay 2 bucks each. I occasionally get the marked down bakery items from the local Giant supermarket. Last box of day old doughnuts was $4.99 and there were about 15 in the box, a wide assortment of filled, chocolate coated, etc. Bon Appetit!

Our store had them years ago, racks set up at check-out. Office folk would clean them out on their way to work.
Smaller fixtures this time around.

My local Walmart is doing it. Though its own bakery does doughnuts, and has a Dunkin (seems to be serving coffee/no donuts in the case as of yet). And we have 2 Dunkins within 5 minutes.

Seems it doesn't do great unless there is a KK Hot & Ready sign on.

We just got the kiosk last month and those donuts fly out of the store within a couple hours of being filled. Up until recently, the closest Krispy Kreme was over 200 miles away so people are jumping at the chance to get them despite the price. The novelty of it will wear off eventually and then maybe the price will come down too.

There used to be a Krispy Kreme store a couple miles from my house, and it was pretty fun to go and watch the donuts come off the line. They are so good! (Which means they're probably really, really unhealthy, right?) I assume the store closed after a couple years or so because it didn't generate enough business to justify a storefront.

Local grocery stores in my area sell them from small displays. Not sure there would be enough market here to have them available in yet another chain.

Yes, my store added these about a month ago. The KK Deliveries are hit-and-miss. If you are buying KK doughnuts, before noon, in the store you are most likely getting doughnuts that are at least a day (or more old). Why pay premium prices for day old doughnuts?

Many years ago, 5-8 years, I don't know, we started to carry Krispy Kreme, but they didn't renew the contract with us for whatever reason. Hence, we then carried Stans Donuts, but that didn't last because we started with a holiday batch of one flavor, peppermint bark, 3 whole pallets worth. All had to be marked down because short shelf life, like 6 days after thawing from the freezer. A few years later we carry Krispy Kreme again
