I did this the first year I was the bike builder, and given half a chance I'll do it again despite the word coming down that we don't do repairs anymore, since at least half the bikes we sell are absolute trash. Sadly despite having a dedicated and capable bicycle mechanic on hand, my leadership insists on using me for literally anything else and having a string of short timers put together bikes with amazing features like reversed front forks, airless tires and inoperable brakes!

I know I have to fix/tweak almost every bike I pull down for a guest. Last weekend I learned to true a rim since it was nowhere close to straight, and was rubbing badly..

Sadly if our collection of tools ever had spoke wrenches it does not any longer, but then I haven't the time to true wheels either so...

Our bike builder didn't know what they were. They won't give me hours but I can fix these bikes after the "Bike Builder" gets done with them.. Ok whatever you say leadership..

Dear Target Corp, the day before Easter will be busy. Next year, please plan accordingly.

This. Yesterday was so busy we had all lanes open (4 express, 14 standard, 4 self checkout) and we still had lines backed up to softlines. People would yell at us to open another lane and get mad when we told them they were all open. Strays were a nightmare, the CAFs were huge, and the zone was trashed. If we didn't make sales I will punch a wall.

Yep we had more lanes than people working who can cashier..

I'm starting to feel like every week is going to be another round of "no, ETL-LOG, you can't put that on the highest shelf in the transition steel. No, it has to stay on the ground where people can access it." Last week it was the magazines, which get delivered/picked up and worked at least once a week. He kept putting them way up, I'd keep moving then back to the floor. I think he caught on, though. Now they're right by the backroom door which is hardly an optimal place but I don't need to fuck around with the Crown to get them so whatever.

Now he (or maybe somebody else did it, but I doubt it) put a pallet of beer way up in the steel. Oberon, if anyone else knows which one that is. That shit sells like hotcakes right now. We started with two pallets on Monday and we're down to a half-dozen cases today. And they're sitting where no merchandiser or salesfloor TM can get to them. Hell, I can't even bring them down because the area's full of carts and vehicles and pallets of backstock/push and I am not a good enough driver to handle those confines. So I'll try again tomorrow and see if I can get it down before the merchandiser shows up and gets mad.

So our ETL-HR posted the missed punch report for the first time in ages this morning, and there were at least 20 names on it (including mine). Seemed pretty odd for this early in the week.

I flipped to the next page and it was just the names of every hourly worker currently in the building, because we all had punched in for work this morning and were "missing" a punch out...for our shifts that hadn't ended yet.

Somehow she didn't think this was odd, and she wrote a friendly note across it in sharpie telling everyone that this was unacceptable and needed to be fixed asap.

When you ask a driver "how's your day going?" and his response is "better than yours is about to be," you know you're in for some fun times. Like pallets of self-checkout materials (one of which fell part in transit and half of it had to go on a flatbed before we oculd get the rest out) that's now fighting for space among:
-Backroom's backstock repush, which has been floating around for 3-4 days now.
-Three pallets of shelving and stuff for the bigass grocery transition.
-A pallet of softlines shelves some ETL ordered for some reason. And nobody seemed to think it needs to go anywhere anytime soon.
-Several pallets of untouched freight from yesterday's truck.
-Pallets of beer. So much beer.

There's probably more coming, too. I can't wait?

I want to looper the pile of excrement that is responsible for back stock to come back into the CAF batches. I have said that before and I will continue to say it. I hate that person. I would looper their entire bloodline and risk the existence of humanity just to rid the universe of STO back stocking coming back as bullshit CAF batches.

If someone back stocks a tub of shampoo at 2pm and it's full on the salesfloor, then there is no fucking reason on Earth that it should be pulled at 3pm. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Not this fucking time. No fucking way. No fucking way. No fucking way.

The responsibility lies at the store level because we have the tools to make sure it doesn't happen.

That tub of shampoo can be backstocked once all locations on the sales floor are full, any locations that don't exist have the ties broken, and someone ensures everything is stocked in the right spot and is set to the correct capacity and on floor amount.

Sorry to explode but it's like no one's ever worked in TV here before. We wanna use the studio for 15 fucking minutes. Jesus. That's so rude. That's so goddamn rude. Jesus.

Didn't happen during my shift but Wednesday night, two cashiers were escorted out by police officers. Stealing out the register. What a couple of fucking idiots.

Today a vendor broke into tears when she found out that several months ago somebody backstocked a shitton of her product and its just recently been found and pulled. And put on the shelf. She ended up with two basket's worth of coffee, with some of their sell by dates going back to August 2015. I'm fuzzy on the details of what she was talking about in between sobs but I guess this comes out of her paycheck or something.

That pretty much brought my whole day down :(

McG, you got something to say to this fucking prick?

Seriously man, you and me we're fucking done professionally. Fucking ass.

That's how I am sometimes at Target because people won't stop bugging me or walking around or messing with the lights and trashing my scene.

Just get somewhere and stay still or at least don't block pathways.

If she were smart she would throw it back on spot for hiding her product, cause it shouldn't have been.
