Today a team member threatened bodily violence against me while on the sales floor during store hours. I reported it to the HR person, and now I'm wondering what will happen next. What is Target's policy regarding threats in the workplace?

It is not tolerated. Good you reported it. You probably won't be given feedback. Tm should be written up after hearing his side. But if there was not a witness could be he will deny it. Hopefully not. Just be your self when working with this person in the future. Do not retaliate or provoke. If it happens again, report it again. It is called hostile work environment.

I have a couple of witnesses, and this isn't this team member's first time in being reprimanded for doing something wrong. I currently have a health condition and basically, if they carried through on their threat, my life could be in danger as I doubt 911 would make it in time. I'm a bit nervous to tell the truth. Not even sure if I should go in for my next scheduled shift.

With witnesses they will be termed. You might be asked to write out a statement along with everyone else that overheard it. Spot takes things like this very seriously so you have nothing to worry about. HR will also partner with AP so you should be hearing from them as well.

They will be termed, especially if you told your HR that you were apprehensive about coming to work because of them. Expect to talk to AP soon. Likely, they won't tell you exactly what happened to the other TM, but they will discuss how to make you feel safe at work. This could include a variety of different measures, such as having a TPS escort you to your car after your shift or just making sure you carry a walkie all the time.

It sounds like you over reacted in a major way. I'm sure targeto will term the person you had an issue with, because they always cover their ass.

Or integrity could pass it along and you might have to continue working with them. And being harassed, and cornered in the trailer (which is your work space) by them, and sworn and yelled at by them.

ASANTS. My store could give a shit if I have a panic attack because someone throws pop- its, swears, bullies, etc. I've emailed twice now. With other tms willing to back me up. Only difference is now he knows I complained, despite asking to be anonymous.

Why are you here if you're clearly against Target? I can't fathom wasting my time talking down Target on an internet forum, what's your life like?
Prolly couldn't get the hang of Pokemon Go.

We don't know what was said or what the context of the threat was. For or we know the two people involved have a history. It is hard to take one side of a story like this, and know what happened.
