I heard that an AP at our store got recently promoted. However he negotiated his starting wage. I thought all positions had set hourly wages (except leaders) - is it true that wages are negotiable?
 
Well Ive always understood APS being almost like an APTL position. (on the grid/mytime they are combined on the schedule).
 
i'd love a concrete development path instead of this stupid carrot/stick routine i get.

You're correct! APS and SrAPS are considered leaders in the building. I asked about that specifically when I was at one of our sister stores

Wages are negotiable if you are good at interviewing and your position is valuable.
