Archived Using vacation hours

I am aware you can use them by requesting a day off and when it gets approved, you use them. But can they be used as a way to cover a day you call out for? Almost like sick time is used, or are they limited on how you can use them.

In my experience you can use vacation hours for anything you want whenever you want.

Fyi for those thinking about leaving, reviewing my pay stubs, even after you put in 2 weeks notice you will still get vacation pay if your final two weeks are less than your average hours and you request pay to fill up to your average hours.

Even more fun, I’ve helped TMs go back a couple of months to bulk up any lower than normal paycheck. If you’ve earned it take everything you can.

I check every other week and use vacation minutes any week at all that I work below my average hours. That's money I want immediately.
I have heard about way too many people who let it max out and then it stops accruing.
I save for things with my paycheck and budget. I want the vacation pay frequently in little pieces because it's better in my savings account at 2.1APY than it is with Spot.
