What’s the point of par stickers?

Genuinely curious if anyone actually knows. You get par levels by checking sales in MPM and write them on the label/stickers for the product. But you also set the capacity for that product to the par level.. so why is the sticker needed at all? If you set the capacity to the par level, the capacity is the par level and the par level is the capacity. Why are we playing with stickers instead of just using the inventory management system that we already use anyway?

It just seems like extra steps for no apparent reason. I’ve heard it’s also there for the guest, but I’ve yet to meet a guest that would actually care about anything other than us having what they want. I doubt any of them care about facings or capacities or par levels (which are just capacities with extra steps).

There's very few items that even need to be reduced do to par level in my store. Usually can only fit like half of what our theoretical par level would be regardless. I agree with you it's just a waste of time. You would think it would help tms that dont push there often but that doesnt even matter they'll just overpass it regardless
